The Lake Chapala area has allot to offer, many of the local expats and even Mexicans call it Lakeside. What is Lakeside? Well it’s an entire community surrounded by several towns spread across the entire Lake Chapala. Chapala has a large Expat community, it even has it’s own American Legion (post # 7). Although popular among Expats, Chapala is also a hot spot for Mexicans vacationing from Guadalajara. The most popular attraction would have to be the boat rides from the towns pier to the Lake’s smaller Islands.

Only a few miles away from Chapala we have the areas favorite town to Expats, Ajijic. The beauty of it’s cobblestone streets, friendly people and traditional cultures makes this town so unique and desirable to live in. Filled with International Restaurants, a wide range of beautiful real estate and the areas most popular market “The Wednesday Tianguis in Ajijic”
Pictures of San Juan Cosala
San Juan Cosala is best know for the “Raquet Club” and it’s thermal springs. Not just a club to play tennis but a whole development with homes, pools, tennis courts, restaurants and even a Spa. While only a 5 minute drive from Ajijic, a large number of the areas Expats decide to move out to the Raquet club due to it’s tranquility and thermal spring water that all homes are entitled to.
