Mexican property laws allow foreigners to own real estate through either a Mexican Corporation, if you plan on doing business in Mexico, or through a Fideicomiso, trust. The trust is secured by a Mexican Central Bank in accordance with NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement, and approved by the Mexican government. Foreigners basically acquire irrevocable and absolute ownership rights the same as a Mexican national through a 50 year perpetual renewable and transferable bank trust called the Fideicomiso. Title Insurance is also available to foreign investors. The most popular region in the area to own real estate is the Los Cabos region, which includes the southernmost tip of the Baja Peninsula, also known as "Mexico's Hawaii." The warm and beautiful year round sunny temperatures attract many visitors and vacation home buyers and investors who enjoy the beautiful beaches, some of the greatest deep sea fishing and top golf destinations with eight courses, ranked in the top 100 worldwide.     

Cabo San Lucas and San Jose Real Estate

Los Cabos has earned the reputation as a jet-set hot spot for celebrities and billionaires from the United States and internationally. Luxury single-family homes range in price from $2 to $4, but there are also many luxury properties in upscale hot neighborhoods for under $500,000. Querencia is a private golf community with the area’s best course, the Tom Fazio golf course.  You will find three and four bedroom townhouses ranging from $950,000-$1.75 million, as well as large three and to four bedroom villas ranging from $2 million-$2.8 million, and beautiful custom homes ranging from $3 million to $14 million. Here you will also find restaurants, pools and a wellness center with a spa, beach club and another golf course.

Cab San Lucas communities in and near the downtown area have homes that are smaller and condos that offer the convenience of the town’s large selection of restaurants, the world famous marina and shops.

Las Cascadas and Pedregal. Las Cascadas is a premier condo development which is located behind the guard-gated entrance to Pedregal. While Pedregal offers multi-million dollar villas, Las Cascadas is more affordable with condos in this exclusive community starting in the low to mid $300's. There are beautiful expansive views of the city of Cabo, marina, Sea of Cortez and Medano Beach. Owners also have access to Pedregal Beach and and first-class amenities. East Cape is the latest region to be developed which is located east of San Jose along the coast 20 miles. Puerto Los Cabos is the largest development featuring two new golf courses and a large marina.
